This is my cat, Warnie, as you can see from his nametag.
He just loves cricket and sits on the couch next to me all day when there’s a Test Match on. Here he is with his favourite carboard cutout of The Ashes.
Here is Warnie with his favourite book, “Shane Warne: My Illustrated Career”. He’s never been one for books with too many words.
Mate, it’s like the tides are turning. All animals used to be indifferent to cricket, but I sense they’re trying to get in on it, the sneaky furry fuckers.

In the second pic I think I see part of a second cat intruding into the photo. Who is this?
You’re right about the second pic, that’s Beau who is named after a reserve flanker with the Waratahs. We got the kittens right after returning from a trip to Christchurch for last years Super 14 final. While there we found ourselves in a pub with Beau Robinson so he got the honour of the second cat.
Note how Beau is trying to get the Ashes off Warnie, but there’s no way he’ll let them slip from his grip without a fight.
I met up with Beau at last weeks Tahs match and told him I’ve named a cat after him. Not sure if it was pity or pride, but there was definately a reaction.
