I see Anål Kumble as the number one threat today. He was a real handful with the new ball last night, I can’t see him getting any easier as it ages. Pathan and RP Singh will also be tough, especially around 2nd new ball time assuming we’re still in the match.
I agree completely with Uncle J Rod’s assessment – it’s Ponting or India. I’m also questioning Clarke position in the side, as I can’t argue with the fact that were a Katich or a Dave Hussey coming in at no 5 my confidence would be higher.
Regardless of the result we need changes for Adelaide. Tait has to go for a spinner, guess Hogg has the lead but I think Bryce McGain could be worth a punt. I’ve always been partial to leggies, even Victorian ones.
Johnson too could do with a rest, if for no other reason than Ponting overbowls him.

Johnson was seeing them well and playing a superb support role. Had he not charged 7 metres down the wicket the result could well have been very different.
