Once again I’m gutted that there’s Test Cricket on, I’m at home with a beer in front of my TV, and instead of watching the cricket on my Plasma TV I’m instead following the online commentary from cricinfo.
Why would this be? Well those f’ucko’s at Channel 9 have exclusive rights to not show it. Update: Symonds out, sounds bad.
But here’s the clincher – their right to deny me coverage of the cricket, despite having the top Pay TV package available to me, is protected by law. Awesome.
We all know this crap was only passed cause Johnny and Kerry were mates, so now they’ve both moved on can we give it the a’rse and get the bloody cricket back on the telly?
At the very least, put it on one of your alternate channels. What’s on 9HD? Oh the same adverts as on 9SD. How about 9Guide – oh just a blank signal. That’s heaps better that the cricket. Update: there goes Watson, lbw apparently.
Gutted.

Ya what is up with that Moses?
When I watch the coverage Benaud goes. So we say byebye to our adelaide viewers.
10 mins later Lawry goes, and now we say byebye to our victoria viewers. id be pissed as hell.

I was watching, on my $120/month Fox package, one of the World Series matches they’ve been rehashing to take us back to a time when there were a team full of players worth watching, when Tony G mentioned a welcome to the viewers from TV3 in NZ. I remember now (since i was living there at the time) that TV3 showed every one day game played in Oz on free-to-air in NZ, regardless of whether NZ were playing. Ah, the good old days…

Jrod> Id imagine so, Over here in Singapore, things are peachy, 3 , 24-7 cricket channels for the price of 30 dollars a month.
No interruptions or cutting to news. If they ever do it about cricket so no worries
