I obviously love that Shane won it. there are other worthy winners, indeed I would have picked McCaw. But I think Shane was easily high enough to be at the point where it is a matter of opinion rather than him not belonging. As a current pack member and ex-flanker i recognise that McCaw is amazing, especially the way he gets away with what he does (like every good 7 should) however all season Shane has been our best player creating tries from nothing vs Ireland, France, Scotland and SA. I have no problem if other people think others should win it, hell I do as well. But it is all taste. When others suggest that Shane isn't worthy thats when we get annoyed. As a side note the WRU put up emails from fans who email certain people there up on the changing room walls. Many of these emails now include excerpts from that news article.
