Deepak, I agree we should hold on to Krejza for a bit.. and under the one Tasmanian policy that means Punter has to go. Shame.

Martyd I do have way too much time, work is winding down for chrissy and there’s ruck all to do.

Russ, I reckon Tony did a fair job of answering your queries.. Krejza wasn’t bowling too many pies during that period, mostly offies on a good length that the batsmen just milked like Bevan at his peak.

Atticus, I’m sure they’ll feel something, possibly Sutherland at his end.

On Sunday the Saffers scored ridiculously easily. It was like the middle overs of a 50 over game, where the batsmen are allowed to milk singles and the odd two, so that they can’t loft fours. Clearly, Ponting had to make the batsman take risks to get the runs, but instead, he let them cruise along pinching three, four and five an over. And where was the 8-1 or 7-2?

Very good Moses. One thing really struck me about it though. In the first innings Krejza conceded 58 off 124 “meh” deliveries (2.8 rpo). In the second, 82 off 122 (4.03 rpo).

There may be a few more pies than you’ve identified. But that is a ridiculous number of runs for balls that are neither here nor there. Clearly, either Krejza can’t bowl to a field, or Ponting was gifting them singles with spread fields. I know who I’d blame.

Good stuff Moses, although I do worry you may have too much time on your hands. Perhaps you could do an analysis of Ponting and Hayden’s recent innings – must have been facing all peaches.

Great work, interesting read! I think he got screwed over by Hilditch … He should play at SCG before he get booted out.
