Found: Blindside Flanker for Tahs in 2009

July 23rd, 2008 by Moses Leave a reply »

With the departure of Rocky Elsom and Dan Vickerman, the Tahs are facing a dearth of tall timber to lead them to the title in 2009.

I’ve been scouting around and reckon I’ve found the perfect person to sign up as a blindside.

He’s 195cm (6′5″), 102kg, got mongrel on tap, extremely athletic, and certainly not the first player of another code to come across to the Waratahs.

What’s more, he’s unwanted by his current club, already in Sydney, has a very high profile so would bring a whole lot of new fans across to rugby, and O’Neill would likely sign on as he’d get that Gorilla off his back.

I give you Barry Hall.

You can have Lewis Roberts-Thompson. His dad is an exec at a bank and the hyphen would have him embraced by the whole rugby community.

Barry would spend too long in the bin anyway.
