Is seems that Victorians will sell their principles for cash.
It started with their trams not giving way to Warney.
Then yesterday I read that the South African’s have Victorian spies giving them inside information on how to combat Peter Siddle. It saddens me to think that any Australian would help any South African to get an edge over another Australian. Siddle himself is a Victorian, I wouldn’t rule out he himself giving the Saffas some tips on how to pick his slower ball in exchange for some hairy green-backs.
And just now the last straw – I was in a meeting and my boss who is Victorian and supports St Kilda in some sport I don’t understand was telling me how he’s put $50 on South Africa at 3-1. I told him that it would be dirty money and I’d never bet on my team to lose, especially against the Saffas!
Then we get back to our desks and he’s looking to get a Saffa flag up on his desk to win his bet. Seems you can’t buy morals. I also told him if he were to win this bet the only way to launder the money would be to spend it on beer for me. At least that’s noble.
If he is a victorian who lives up north, he was lost long ago.
