Mother Farkers

466 seems a lot when you’re 5/2.

In my book 96* and getting the opposition caption in your first over is worth 100. Shame it wont be remembered as scuh in the anals of history.

Pitch appears to be an absolute minefield, Hilfenhaus has it on a string. McKenzie can just laugh as he’s beating 4 times in an over by the tap of massie.

4 maiderns on da trot, bring on the smackdown!!!

shame we didn’t pick a 4th bowler

Warner “dropped” before being “selected”

Dave Warner has been left out of the NSWales squad to challenge Queensland in Thursday’s 4 day match. I can’t find the actual squad posted anywhere, but I heard it on the radio so it must be true.

I can understand this decision, as a must outright win game for the Blues it’s hardly the time to be blooding new openers… but if the story is true then they could have at least picked him in their second XI squad!

At least Warner’s useful in the field and will make a top notch 12th man, he’s got International experience after all.

Best of all, the papers can re-run their stories about his not even having a 1st class cap. Can’t wait.

Saffas hope to retain monopoly racially selected teams

Paul Tito - Ranga Maori

Paul Tito - Ranga Maori

The South African Rugby Union have objected to a scheduled match between the Springboks and the NZ Maori because

the fundamental stumbling block of a long-established President’s Council resolution forbidding the appearance of SARU teams against opponents selected along racial lines.

To clarify, the very same board that imposes a quota of non-white players into their rugby team is opposed to their racially selected team playing against a racially selected team!

It would make an interesting precedent if Australia and New Zealand were to refuse to play against the Springboks due to their quota system…

New Zealands race relations commissioner Joris de Bres has written a letter to SARU, however I don’t imagine this paragraph will help the case at all

I appreciate why such a policy would have been adopted, particularly because of the racial discrimination in sport that existed in South Africa under apartheid.
